EPA Will Hold September 19, 2024, Webinar on “A Safer Choice for Cleaning: Increasing Access to Products with Safer Ingredients”

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a webinar on September 19, 2024, on “A Safer Choice for Cleaning: Increasing Access to Products with Safer Ingredients.” Jennie Romer, EPA Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pollution Prevention, will host a webinar on how EPA’s Safer Choice program helps people find and have access to cleaning and other products made with safer ingredients and how the program works in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders to prevent pollution. The following speakers will discuss the growing impact of the Safer Choice program to increase use of safer ingredients throughout the value chain and how pollution prevention (P2) practitioners can increase use and development of safer products:

  • Liz Hitchcock, Toxic-Free Future;
  • Rebecca Bascom, Penn State University;
  • Diana Restrepo, ECOS®; and
  • Aerin Kirk, EPA Safer Choice Program.

This is the sixth webinar in EPA’s series on “Pollution Prevention in Action,” which examines key sustainability topics, from reducing or eliminating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in products to source reduction solutions in industrial sectors, and features experts from businesses, nonprofit organizations, government, and academia.
