California DPR Announces Webinar to Be Held on April 23, 2024, to Discuss Proposed Registration Fee Increase
On March 29, 2024, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) announced it will hold a webinar on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. (PDT) to discuss and receive feedback from registrants and other stakeholders on its intent to increase registration fees to a level that, according to DPR, supports the current and future business needs of the pesticide registration program.
DPR states it has determined that current registration fees are not sufficient to support the ongoing work of the pesticide registration program, so it finds it necessary to raise pesticide product registration, amendment, and renewal fees. DPR is holding this webinar to discuss this proposal with the public and obtain feedback from registrants.
The webinar will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (PDT), and will be offered through the remote webinar service Zoom for participants who intend to provide an oral question or comment. Prior to the webinar, DPR will issue another California Notice to provide Zoom participation information, an agenda, additional information about the proposal, and open a 30-day public comment period. The webinar will also be webcast and may be accessed online.
DPR states that during the public comment period and during the webinar, questions and comments may be sent to regfees@cdpr.ca.gov. Additionally, DPR states if there are special accommodations or language assistance needed to participate in the webinar, please submit the request to regfees@cdpr.ca.gov no later than April 9, 2024.
